Green Tea Tiramisu

Making green tea tiramisu dessert cake just couldn't be easier!

People often think that it is hard, but it really isn't and the taste is so delicious! It is no harder than baking a cake, and you don't even have to bake this one...
Use Fresh Matcha
The color of your green tea tiramisu will be affected by the type of matcha powder that you use.
If it is very fresh the cake will be a darker green and a more intense color. also, the caffeine 'hit' will be more noticeable with the use of fresh green tea powder.
Ingredients
The best biscuits to use for this recipe are the traditional ladyfingers and they are available from any good supermarket.
You'll need to brew up some strong green tea (about one cup) and let it sit and cool.
For the mascarpone mixture
·  3 egg yolks
·  1/2 cup sugar
·  250g mascarpone cheese
·  1 cup heavy cream
·  1 tsp vanilla extract
·  2 tsp matcha (green tea powder)
Place 3 egg yolks and 1 cup of caster sugar in a bowl over a double boiler and whisk them up by hand. This is probably the hardest part as the eggs are really gooey when you start and you have to keep beating for a couple of minutes until the mixture is double its original volume and a pale creamy color.
Now, it's all downwind sailing! Mix all the other ingredients in by folding into the mixture.
The assembly of the tiramisu is the next stage. For this, it's simply a matter of layering. Soak the ladyfingers in green tea and then layer across the bottom of a springform pan, add a layer of the mascarpone mixture and repeat the process. make the last layer one of mascarpone. Smooth with a palette knife.

Just before serving, add a sprinklig of matcha powder onto the green tea timarisu. Delicious green tea tiramisu cake!
